Senior Brand Manager

DedCool is a genderless fragrance house on a mission to build a new olfactive system. Anchored by approachable fine fragrances, we play with scent to give it new forms: we reimagine functional fragrance. We offer a selection of fragrances and lifestyle products (think lip balms, air fresheners, and the like) that don’t just smell great but keep the planet in mind too. From sourcing to formulation to packaging to end use, each product is conceived with the highest quality and sustainable ingredients composed of innovative formulations to mitigate water use, while providing the customer with a product that lasts. DedCool cultivates a feel-good feeling with every spritz (or load of laundry…oh yea, we make laundry detergent, too).
About the Team & Role
DedCool is looking for an experienced Senior Brand Manager to manage the strategy and execution of all marketing campaigns: product launches, collabs, promotions, and evergreen brand storytelling. This person will be responsible for crafting and concepting campaigns that will come to life across all digital (and sometimes in real life) channels. This person will also play a critical role when it comes to creating marketing plans to support key retail partners, including Sephora and Mecca. The role requires a deep understanding and thoughtful application of digital content, with some knowledge or retention and performance marketing levers.
Responsibilities
  • Own the commercial calendar, overseeing key storytelling moments and activations throughout the year in order to meet (and ideally exceed!) business growth targets.

  • Partner closely with the Head of Growth in building holistic marketing campaigns around equity-building collaborations, working across internal and external teams to ensure end-to-end flawless execution.

  • Own and drive end-to-end development of impactful storytelling campaigns, from strategic ideation to content/asset creation for all product launches, collaborations, promotional moments and brand storytelling.

  • Develop & refine brand and product messaging, ensuring key messaging is consistent across all customer touchpoints.

  • Helps lead creation of product claims, marketing copy & education materials.

  • Manage 360 execution of wholesale initiatives, which includes all trade marketing responsibilities including merchandising development, digital asset management & retailer PDP responsibilities.

  • Oversee the planning and execution of brand events, collaborations, and partnerships to drive brand awareness and increase brand loyalty.

  • Provide monthly reporting and recapping of key campaigns and promotional moments, identifying areas of opportunity and sharing recommendations across the team.

  • Partner closely with the Retention Lead to ensure key marketing strategies and stories/storytelling (including brand narrative & value propositions) are woven through retention channels: email, SMS, and Loyalty.

  • Work closely with the creative and creative operations teams to develop customer-facing assets.

  • Actively stay updated on industry trends, competitors' activities, and emerging fragrance technologies to ensure DedCool remains at the forefront of the market.

  • Champion individuality, diversity and inclusivity across every story.

  • Drive content excellence, playing a key role in evolving the stories that we tell and how we share them with our customers.
Who You Are
  • Minimum 6-7 years of experience across brand and marketing for a direct-to-consumer brand. Experience in beauty e-commerce and retail partners like Sephora is strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of and passion for the brand and what makes DedCool unique.

  • Passionate about creating compelling customer-facing content; not afraid to test and learn big ideas that may seem “impossible.”

  • Proven record of leading and executing brand strategies to drive business growth and enhance brand positioning.

  • You should possess an excellent understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to develop effective marketing campaigns.

  • Strong project management skills to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute various brand activities within tight deadlines.

  • You are expected to demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities by guiding a team of professionals and fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey brand messages and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Possess a strong analytical mindset and be proficient in analyzing data to identify insights, measure campaign effectiveness, and make informed recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams at all levels
